Responsibilities: 

• Must possess skills to develop sales opportunities and consultative relationships of international group accounts
• Develops initial and on-going business relationships with clients, prospective clients, carriers and organizations.
• Consults with clients on information regarding their accounts and coverage questions and provides day to day servicing of the client accounts. 
• Serves as an advisor and consultant to clients, and work closely with other Rutherfoord divisions to provide quality consultation services.
• Identifies potential risks and assists clients and prospective clients with recommendations regarding strategic risk management products, solutions and services. 
• Serves as an advisor and consultant to clients in order to assess risks and provide innovative solutions to complex risk-related business issues.
• Assists in the sales process in maintaining and retaining existing business which demonstrates measurable growth of revenue and profit.
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude with fellow employees and mentors new account executives and the account management team.

 

Qualifications

• Effective oral and written communication and relationship building skills essential. 
• Proficiency Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.
• Exceptional time management and organization skills. 
• Must have the ability to multi-task and learn new information quickly.
• Must be a self-starter and demonstrate resourcefulness.  
 
Requirements

• Five to Seven years (or equivalent knowledge) sales and/or account management experience required in Life and Health products with demonstrated ability in insurance coverage, underwriting, rating and risk analysis.  Experience with International accounts a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge preferred.
• Professional level of proficiency in English with French, and/or Spanish languages preferred.
• Current L&H licensure or ability to obtain within 90 days preferred. 
• Some travel to various client locations required, must have valid transportation.
