Ray is responsible for the continued growth and business development, along with managing customer service and client relations, for Rutherfoord’s Charlotte division. He also services and maintains surety relationships for a portfolio of clients. Ray began his career with Chubb Insurance as a surety underwriter in 1985. He entered the brokerage ranks in 1989 and joined Rutherfoord’s Charlotte office in 2001 as a vice president and surety bond manager. In 2007 he was promoted to division manager and assumed additional leadership roles within the Charlotte division and Rutherfoord. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business Management from Ithaca College. Ray is an active member of the Carolinas Associated General Contractors (CAGC) and the National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP).
