Thomas R. Brown
Tom Brown began his insurance career with Rutherfoord in Roanoke in 1979. In 1983, he opened the Richmond office and managed the growth of that office to over 70 people. He was named president in 1998 and chief executive officer in 2004, and is now the firm's vice chairman. He has been instrumental in positioning Rutherfoord as a major regional firm for the last 25 years. Tom is active in the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. In addition, he serves on numerous insurance company advisory boards at a corporate level. He is a member of various civic boards and the World Presidents Organization.
George A. "Shad" Steadman, III
George A. "Shad" Steadman, III is Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer for Rutherfoord, a Marsh & McLennan Agency company headquartered in Virginia. He is also President of Assurance Capital Consultants, Inc., a subsidiary responsible for alternative market and MGA programs. Mr. Steadman joined Rutherfoord in 1986 and has over 35 years experience in the insurance industry. A graduate of the University of Georgia, with a major in Risk Management and Insurance, Mr. Steadman also holds the CPCU designation. He is active in the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers, where he served as their 2008 National Chairman, a Director for the Foundation for Agency Management Excellence and is a former Chairman of CouncilPAC, an industry political action committee. He also serves on the Board of the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. Recently, Mr. Steadman was elected to the Board of Directors of AICPCU and the World Federation of Insurance Intermediaries. In addition to his professional affiliations, Steadman is an active community volunteer. He has served as an executive committee member and treasurer of the Taubman Museum of Art and as a director for the Roanoke City Public Schools Education Foundation. Previously he has held board positions for the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce, Science Museum of Western Virginia, Opera Roanoke and the Better Business Bureau.
President
John Stanchina is responsible for sales and operations throughout Rutherfoord, and he will chair the President’s Council, along with providing oversight of the Richmond and Petersburg divisions. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Muskingum College and began his career with Fidelity & Deposit Company of Maryland. In 1994, John joined Rutherfoord to establish and manage Richmond’s surety bond operations. John was appointed division manager of Rutherfoord’s Richmond office in 2004, president of the Richmond division in 2009 and president of Rutherfoord in 2011. He is past-president of The Virginia Surety Association and has served on the board of directors for the Virginia Road and Transportation Builders Association, as well as on various surety and insurance company advisory boards. He is a member of various civic boards and the Young Presidents Organization.
John H. Parrott Jr, CIC, CRM Executive Vice President, Sales John Parrott leads Rutherfoord’s sales efforts and has oversight of the Roanoke, Lynchburg and Knoxville divisions. He is vice chair of the President's Council and also works closely with construction, aggregate and health care clients. John graduated from the University of Virginia and began his insurance career in life and health insurance before moving on to automation solutions for property and casualty insurance agencies. He joined Rutherfoord in 1987 and later became the Roanoke division manager. In 2009 he was appointed president of the Roanoke division, and in 2011was appointed executive vice president of sales. John has obtained the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation and the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. He has completed seven James K. Ruble Seminars on Advanced Coverages and has served on the PMA Advisory Board in Virginia and the CNA PACER group and he currently serves on the Key Risk Advisory Board.
Kimberly A.C. Enochs
Kim Enochs has oversight of the firm’s human resources, operations, information technology, marketing and communications functions, and she is vice chair of the President's Council. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Concord University and a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Radford University. Prior to joining Rutherfoord in 2002 as vice president of human resources, Kim spent ten years at Carilion Clinic where she held various positions, to include director of human resources planning and staffing. Kim was promoted to senior vice president at Rutherfoord in 2005, and assumed responsibility for information technology and operations in 2009. Kim is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and has completed the Hollins University Leadership Development Program and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania’s Strategic Decision Making Program.
Robert A. Bamberger
Bob Bamberger is responsible for Rutherfoord’s growth in Pennsylvania. He works directly with the firm’s Philadelphia office and is liaison to Rutherfoord’s MMA partner Trion™. He serves on the President’s Council and provides senior leadership to production efforts throughout the company and has client executive duties for larger commercial and risk management business. Following his graduation from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, he started his insurance career with Aetna Casualty & Surety. He joined Marsh & McLennan in 1980 and was largely involved with production, client management, and business leadership roles. He was office head for Marsh & McLennan’s Norfolk, Virginia, operation from 1990 to 1996 and was a managing director, responsible for Virginia’s middle market business segment prior to joining Rutherfoord in 1997. Bob serves on several insurer councils and advisory boards and is a graduate of the J&H/Marsh Leadership School. |
