Rutherfoord Announces Executive Leadership Changes
Richmond, Va. – (May 26, 2011) Rutherfoord, one of the nation’s most respected risk management and insurance brokerage firms, announces John C. Stanchina’s promotion to president, along with the formation of a President’s Council, which John will chair.
To assist Stanchina in leading the company, John H. Parrott, Jr. has been promoted to executive vice president of sales and Kimberly A.C. Enochs has been elevated to executive vice president of operations. Both will serve as vice chairs of the President’s Council.
Rutherfoord’s top three executives, chairman, Thomas D. Rutherfoord Jr, and vice chairmen, Thomas R. Brown and George A. “Shad” Steadman, III, who have led the firm over the last 30 years, will continue to mentor the agency’s newly appointed leaders.
“During strategic planning, we identified the need to implement a leadership structure for the future,” said Tom Rutherfoord. “Shad Steadman, Tom Brown and I can now bring greater focus to the future direction and growth of the company, particularly now that we are Marsh & McLennan Agency’s lead brokerage firm in the Southeast, mid-Atlantic and the District of Columbia.”
To round out the leadership changes at Rutherfoord, Bob Bamberger’s role as executive vice president has expanded to include oversight of Rutherfoord’s growth in Pennsylvania and liaison responsibilities with Trion, a benefits agency headquartered in Philadelphia that is part of Marsh & McLennan Agency’s network of firms, to which Rutherfoord belongs. Bamberger will also serve on the President’s Council. In addition, Doug Russell, senior vice president, will lead carrier relations along with his ongoing management of the Hampton Roads, VA and Mobile, AL divisions.
